Key differences
Aloe juice base vs water base
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice is the first thing on Era’s ingredient list. Cetaphil’s first ingredient is water, followed by glycerin and cetearyl alcohol.Manuka honey and a botanical blend
Era’s formula includes Manuka honey, Cehami extract, aloe and orange oil, and it is designed to help moisturize and comfort the skin while it cleanses. Cetaphil’s ingredient list does not include any of these four. It is built around panthenol, niacinamide and pantolactone instead.Hyaluronic acid and vitamin E
Era includes sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) and vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate). Hyaluronic acid may help skin hold on to moisture. Neither ingredient appears in Cetaphil’s ingredient list.Cruelty-free and made in the USA
The face wash is made in the USA. The facility is FDA-registered and cGMP-compliant, with third-party GMP certification. Cetaphil’s product page does not show cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny or made in the USA.Certifications and label claims
